Though our family is the most precious thing we can think of, there is someone else who is our greatest treasure. The Lord Jesus Christ.

He has our best interest at heart. He wants us to possess all those things we desire, but more than that, Jesus wants us to know Him in a deep way. How can we do that? By spending time in prayer with Him and by reading and studying His Word.

How do we fit quiet time, with the Lord, in to our busy schedule? We have to 'make' time. If we are too busy to spend time getting to know the One who gave up His life for us, then we're too busy. Can you get up five minutes earlier or go to bed five minutes later? Give God that five minutes. Read His Word and pray about your desires.

Doing this will increase your desire to spend time with Him and before you know it, you'll be increasing the amount of time you spend in private devotions with the Lord and your relationship with Him will deepen and flourish.

As much as we love our children, there is nothing on earth as desirous as a deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Begin that relationship today.
