~ Luke 5:19-20 ~ You've all heard the expression "through the roof". The friends of the paralyzed man took this literally. Their beloved friend needed healing and they knew of only one person who could help him. That one person was Jesus. The house, where Jesus was teaching, was crowded with many who had come to hear His words. It was impossible for these men to get their needy friend inside, by traditional means, so they came up with an alternate plan to bring their friend to Jesus. They went up on the roof, dug a hole in the tiles and lowered their friend, through the hole in the roof, right to Jesus. When Jesus saw this, he praised them for their great faith and healed their friend. Jesus not only healed the paralytic physically, but spiritually, He said " Your sins are forgiven" Jesus is always available to you. He's always willing to help. There may be obstacles in your path. You may have to be creative in how you get to Him, but He is waiting to help, to heal, and to bring hope to those who come. If you really believe Jesus is who He says He is (the Son of God), help a friend. Take your faith "through the roof" today . |
