Divided?![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "The people living in darkness have seen a great light ."![]() ![]() ![]() Imagine that! Americans not agreeing on everything! Our constitution tells us we have the freedom to do, think and say what we want. However, the strictest interpretation of the first ammendment would indicate that we have the right to do, think and say," the right things".Not hurtful and violent things, not things that divide, but things that help, heal and unite. President-Elect George W. Bush, in his victory speech on December 13, 2000, asked something of every American. He did not ask for our undying devotion. He did not ask for our money. He did not ask for our opinion. He asked every American to pray. To pray for our great Republic. Praying requires only one thing--our lips to God's ears. No one else needs to hear it. Only God, the One who can answer. Two hundred years ago God, the one who answers prayer, brought forth this great nation we call America. She was sent to give a new home to those who were without. She was the beacon of freedom and hope for all who would come to her shores. She would grant it. It was and is her purpose. Two thousand years ago God,the one who answers prayer, sent His only Son to be born in this world. He was sent to redeem the world from sin. He is the beacon of hope for eternity. We must come to Him in repentance and ask forgiveness. He will grant it. It is His purpose. Let's lay down our opinions and those things that divide us. May we see America as a sweet symbol of liberty and Christ as a sweet symbol of love. America is everlasting Freedom. Jesus is everlasting life. May we, unite our nation in liberty and turn our hearts to Jesus Christ ,that all who walk in darkness may know Jesus is our Savior and in Him we trust. Pray for America this Christmas! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() © 2000 Michael's Hope Ministries. All Rights Reserved Worldwide.![]() |
