The next verse gives us a clue as to how we can maintain this joyful spirit. Pray continually. Is it possible to be in a constant state of prayer? Yes! This verse does not mean that we are to get on our knees and stay there 24-7. But that we can pray for our family and others anytime we like. It is called an attitude of prayer. There are many times we can pray. Here are some examples of times throughout the day that we can be in prayer. We can pray while loading the dishwasher, or washing machine; while vacuuming the carpet, while sitting at a traffic light--make sure to keep you eyes open for this one or you will hear car horns blowing at you when the light changes. These are just some examples, you can think of many more. Be creative.

We should give thanks to God for His goodness to us, no matter what situation we're in. Look for the positive in all circumstances. As we pray in the will of God, He will show us more of what He desires for us and our children. Pray continually. He'll show you the way.
